Online Metronome with Bell & Tap Tempo

A precise metronome for practice. Set the tempo from 30 to 300 BPM or tap it in, choose beats per bar and subdivisions, accent or mute individual beats, pick a click sound, and ring a bell on the first beat of each bar. Changes apply instantly while it plays.

How to use it

Set the tempo with the slider, the ±1/±5 buttons or Tap tempo.
Choose beats per bar and a subdivision (quarters, 8ths, triplets or 16ths).
Tap a beat circle to cycle it between accented, normal and muted.
Press Play (or the Space bar) and follow the beat.

Is it accurate?▼

Yes. Clicks are scheduled ahead of time on the Web Audio clock, so timing stays steady even if the page is busy.

Can I change the sound?▼

Yes. Choose between a beep, a woodblock and a short click, and adjust the volume.

Is there a metronome with a bell on the first beat?▼

Yes. Tick “Bell on accented beats” and a bell rings on beat 1 (and any other beat you accent), with clicks on the rest.

How do I play in 6/8 or other meters?▼

Set the beats per bar (for example 6) and accent the beats you want emphasised, e.g. beats 1 and 4 for 6/8.

I can't hear it on my iPhone.▼

Turn the volume up. On recent iOS versions the metronome plays even with the silent switch on; on older versions, switch silent mode off.
