Frequently Asked Questions
Will it validate JSON?▼
Yes, strictly, as you type. Invalid JSON shows the line, column and a short explanation, such as a trailing comma or single quotes.
Does it keep key order?▼
Yes, unless you tick Sort keys A–Z.
Why did a long number change?▼
JavaScript can only store whole numbers up to 2^53 exactly. The tool warns you when your JSON contains bigger numbers; keep them as strings if precision matters.
